Cooling water treatment technology has undergone a series of profound changes over the years. New chemicals have been developed that make possible new methods of chemical treatment. Environmental regulations now require strict control of the composition and quantity of cooling tower blow down discharged to receiving streams.
Water, as the main component of every cooling system, provides heat rejection opportunity for heat exchanger network. Thus, the quality of the cooling and make-up water needs to be considered not only to achieve an optimum operational condition, but also for reducing the negative environmental impacts. In a cooling system, eventually, the minerals reach a cycle of concentration that will cause loss of efficiency due to scale formation or damage due to excessive corrosion. Efficient cooling water management is critical to the operation of plant. Under inadequate control, the cooling water system can present significant difficulty to the plant in Loss of production capacity, increased cost of cleaning and protective chemicals, increased energy Maintenance costs, and Reduction in service life. So we have chosen this important issue of Cooling Water Management which has a notable impact on the Financial Performance of the company and its development to refresh the participants in their endeavour to conserve the water, while maintaining its efficacy as a coolant

    • As Course Director, he Conducted Corrosion Control Management related programme like corrosion monitoring, cooling water treatment, corrosion economics, corrosion control of structural steel and concrete structure, painting for field engineers, middle management and executives, encompassing a wide spectrum of corrosion engineering field to > 60 corporate in India and abroad, as customized In-house and structured lecture programme. Chaired and convened Technical Sessions in National and International conferences.
    • He has > 65 technical papers, served as member of Board of Studies, PG and Doctorate recognized Guide and initiated ‘PG Diploma Course in Corrosion Technology’ in M.S. University of Baroda, Twice appeared on Door Darshan to address Corrosion Control.
    • He developed and practiced various corrosion combating programme like on-line corrosion monitoring and surveillance, corrosion resistance compatibility screening, MOC life cycle cost, weld overlays, cooling water treatment optimization to conserve water, corrosion control and effluent quality control, field testing and evaluation of corrosion by simulation etc.
    • He pioneered the practices of integrated real-time on-line corrosion monitoring (OLCM) in process plants in India.
    • He conducted Corrosion Survey and Corrosion Audit of industrial sectors like Fertilizer, Pharmaceutical, Hydrometallurgy, Power Plant, Hydrocarbon processing, Paint Manufacturing, Automotive and Industrial Lubricant Manufacturing , Chloralkali, Cement Plant, Chemical Process plant, etc.
    • widely travelled to USA, Europe, Scandinavian Countries, Thailand, China, Middle East, Japan in relation to corrosion control activities like collaborative research programme, consultancy, training, technical conference and invited talk.
    • He led delegation from Europe Marketing Group in search of 200 SS grade series future growth in India
    • He served as the product promotion adviser to world largest Duplex and High Grade SS materials manufacturer based in Europe in India.
    • is the recipient of “Gold Plaque” from Indian Institute of Metals, ‘Gold Medal For India’, from ABI, Inc., USA, honoured by ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ from NACE, Recipient of ‘Indian Achievers Award For Industrial Development’ from IEDRA by The Vice President of India.
    • He served as the Corrosion Expert, on honoured Invitation, in oral hearing in Paris, France during International Commercial arbitration, conducted under the aegis of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) (2017)
